Introduction to generative AI
The field of artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly expanding. Artificial intelligence is used in many areas of our lives, including the autocorrect and predictive text in your phone, AI-driven robots in manufacturing, and drug discovery and development in medicine.
The ability to use artificial intelligence is likely to become a key skill in many workplaces in the future. RMIT is committed to preparing our students to know how to engage and work ethically and appropriately with artificial intelligence.
Generative artificial intelligence is a type of artificial intelligence and produces outputs (including text, images, code, audio and video) in response to user prompts. This module focuses on the basics of how generative AI tools work, and how you can use them in your studies to help you learn and create.
