Dr Juliana Antonipillai is a Senior Lecturer and Biomedical Science Program Manager at RMIT University and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne. She completed her BSc (Medical Science) (Hons) at La Trobe University and PhD at the University of Melbourne/Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. Before joining RMIT, she worked at the Hollings Cancer Centre in the USA and at Baker IDI and SVI in Australia. Her research focuses on basic and translational studies in cancer and cardiovascular biology, specialising in cell and molecular biology and biochemistry. Juliana also holds a Diploma of Management in Medicine from the Northern Hospital and a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education from Victoria University.

Dr Durga Dharmadana (she/her) is a Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Sciences at RMIT University. She obtained her PhD in Biomedical Science from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. Durga’s research focuses on peptide and protein aggregation under various physiological, disease, and formulation conditions. She also holds a master’s degree in chemistry and a bachelor’s in pharmacy. Durga teaches pharmacology and pharmaceutical science-based courses and explores integrating digital tools into university teaching to enhance student engagement and the overall learning experience.

Dr Narin Osman is a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science (RMIT Health) at RMIT University. Narin was awarded her BSc (Hons) and PhD at the University of Melbourne and Research Fellowships in the United Kingdom and Australia. With over 95 research publications she continues to explore signalling pathways that contribute to human diseases and their potential treatment. In her academic roles, Narin has taught at all undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has ongoing enthusiasm to teach undergraduate students the cell biology required for future biomedical scientists to make important discoveries in health and disease.

Dr Nhiem Tran is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Chemistry and Environmental Science at RMIT University. He received a PhD in Physics from Brown University, USA. Prior to joining RMIT, he worked at CSIRO and Rhode Island Hospital (USA). His research focuses on developing new biomaterials, investigating their physicochemical properties, studying their interaction with cells, and applying them as drug carriers or gene therapy for treating cancer, infection, and various autoimmune diseases. He holds one patent and has published over 65 scientific articles. He has taught courses across various Schools from Foundation Chemistry and Life Sciences to Tissue Engineering and Biofabrication.

Professor Terry Piva is a professor and manager of the Biomedical Science Honours program at RMIT University.  He obtained his PhD from James Cook University, before doing postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford, Australian National University and the Queensland Institute of Medical Research. He has published over 85 research publications and is interested in cancer cell signalling pathways and the effect natural products and radiation have on tumour cell function. Terry is a research academic and teaches undergraduate students biochemistry, physiology, cell signalling and cell biology.

Associate Professor Celine Valery is an associate professor of Pharmaceutics at the University of New South Wales, Sydney and an adjunct at RMIT University. She is a chemical engineer who completed a MSc in Physicochemistry and a PhD in Pharmacy (Physicochemistry major) from the University of Paris XI (France). Celine has extensive industry experience as she was a researcher for several years in the pharmaceutical industry, with a special focus on therapeutic protein/peptide formulation and pharmaceutical nanotechnology. She was involved in the FDA and EMA approval of the first peptide nanotechnology formulation based on peptide self-assembly. She is co-inventor of 3 patents in therapeutic peptide formulation and chemistry, as well as the co-author of scientific articles published in high impact factor journals such as Nature Communications and Nature Materials.
