Introduction to this guide

The RMIT Open Press Style Guide is for authors who want to publish an open text with RMIT University Library. This guide steps authors through the process of preparing a manuscript ready for submission to the Open Education library team for publication with RMIT Open Press. Authors should consult the guide before, and throughout the writing and editing process to ensure consistency in style, structure, and presentation of your manuscript.

The manuscript-ready checklist is an important document that will you get your manuscript fully prepared for submission. Completing the checklist in sequential order will help you systematically refine your manuscript, minimise the risk of missing important elements, and confirm that it meets the publication standards required by RMIT Open Press.

Once all steps from the manuscript-ready checklist have been carefully completed, your manuscript will need to be fully prepared and finalised before submitting to the Open Education library team.
